* Anna Elizabeth Hirschi was born in 1698 in Appenzell, Switzerland. She died in 1754 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, United States. She was the daughter of Christian Hershey [[Hersche-16|Christian Hersche]](1664) [ and sister of Benjamin and Andrew.]According to R W Davis [Davis, R. W. (1999). *Emigrants, Refugees and Prisoners* (Vol. 1).], Christian Hersche, who was in Chester County (now Lancaster County) by 1717, when a warrant was issued to Hans Pupather (i.e., Brubaker) and Christian Hersche for 1,000 acres of land in Chester County. Anna's mother may have been [[Zschille-9|Adelheit (Zschille) Hersche]], but no proof of this has been found. According to Rupp's Collection of Thirty Thousand Names [Rupp, I. D. (1876). *A collection of upwards of thirty thousand names of German, Swiss, Dutch, French and other immigrant*. Christian Herschi was among them, along with Hans Pupather, Heinrich Bär, and other well known Mennonites.

On 2 June 1773, after the death of Anne's husband, Herman Long, his estate was divided between their 13 children. It's likely that Anne had died previously, since she was not included in the distribution of his estate.
