  == Biography == Benjamin Witmer likely immigrated to Pennsylvania in 1717. He settled in Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, where there were many other Mennonites living. On 14 March 1722, Benjamin Witmer received a deed for 250 acres in Lampeter Township, Chester County (now Lancaster County). '''Will''' When Benjamin Weitmore signed his will (with his mark) on 7 February 1744, he was living in Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, and was of "advanced years." He was likely dead by 18 December 1756 when the first of the witnesses verified the will in Philadelphia where Benjamin may have been living. The will was finally proved by a second witness on 10 February 1757.
