The following is seriously called into question, must be further researched - the 2005 Edition of the below book DOES state as we have referenced, with Theodorus Buckwalter as #56, Barbara Landis as stated above. Both Joseph and Durst (Dorst in Probate Record) wrote their Wills in German, and were not copied into the Probate Record, but were used to grant Letters of Administration. Joseph Benjamin Landis and Jason Musson as his witnesses, Durst had Jacob Landis and Abraham Duner as his witnesses, Executors were Francis Buckwalter, John Witmer and Jacob Hartman. With Joseph dying in 1748, could Durst be her second husband? Lancaster Mennonite Historical Society has a copy of the German Wills in their Collection.
There two Barbara Landis'. ? Joseph was appointed executor of Felix Landis Will - " Lastly I constitute and appoint Joseph Buckwalter and Michael Donner, my trusty and well beloved friends, as my sole and whole executors of this my last Will and Testament. In token whereof I do Hereby ratify the same by settling my hand and seal hereunto this 29th of April 1737."
The following is a case of someone confusing 2 Barbara Landis'; our genealogy still stands. Kay Wilson was kind enough to doublecheck the below mentioned version, and while there was some confusion, Theodorus Durst Buckwalter and his wife, Barbara Landis, are STILL in the book, also.
