Magdalena was born c.1744 [Best, Jane Evans (1997). ''The Groff Book, Volume 2: A Continuing Saga''. Ronks, PA : Groff History Associates] in Lampeter, Lancaster.
She married Abraham Dohner (1732-1790), and while it is not known where they began married life, they lived later on Abraham's father's farm in Lampeter, Lancaster.[Dohner, H. H. (u.d.) They were the parents of nine children, who are named in Abraham's will :

Magdalena died in 1798 in Lancaster. Martin Myer and Abraham Eby were appointed administrators of her estate and are presumed to be her sons-in-law.
