It was a common practice to name a younger sibling after a deceased elder one. In ''The Groff Book, Volume 2'', Jane Evans Best shows the first Anna as being a servant at Bocken in the 1709 Horgan census, and no information about the second Anna after her baptism record.[Best, Jane Evans.
