The Duhren KB was not available on microfilm and materials on the emigrants from there were obtained from other sources. The following paper about emigrants from Duhren was sent by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Herm. Lau of Karlsruhe and arrived too late to be entered alphabetically into the preceding text. Dr. Lau's paper is presented here as he sent it, with the slight change of b., m., bp. inserted in place fo the German genealogical symbols....

[Although Jane Evans Best shows Jagely with children and immigration to Leacock [ The Groff Book, page 28], no evidence has been found that he was the father of those children, or that he came to Pennsylvania or Virginia.]
An Ancestry profile for Hans states the couple had 17 children between 1695 and 1726; all but the first 6 were born in Pennsylvania (Note: not all children listed may have been from this couple, based on birth year and birth-place; research needed). Their 8th child was [[Bar-262|Barbara (Bar) Lionberger (abt.1713-abt.1785)]], probably born in or near Sinsheim where the family was thought to be living at the time she was likely born. According to Jane Evans Best, she married [[Leuenberger-40|Hans Ulli (Leuenberger) Lionberger (1710-bef.1757)]], who bought property from her father in Upper Leacock in 1740, and whose wife in his will was named Barbara.

This Jacob may have been the brother of [[Baer-367|Hans Michael Baer]], based on the fact that Michael, when he died in 1741, was in possession of a 113-acre portion (see Survey A84-125) of the land originally surveyed for this Jacob, and they both emigrated from Duhren in 1719.[See draft of survey in ‘’’Genealogy of Henry Bear,’’’ by Willis Nissley Baer, page 10 at https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=wu.89060749736&view=1up&seq=34&skin=2021 and Upper Leacock Warrant Map at https://www.phmc.state.pa.us/bah/dam/rg/di/r17-522WarranteeTwpMaps/r017Map2845LancasterUpperLeacockWeb.pdf.] If correct, then based on the will of [[Bar-123|Samuel (Bar) Bear]], he may also have been the brother of Samuel, [[Baer-1665|Heinrich Baer]] and [[Baer-793|Anna (Baer) Bowman (abt.1675-abt.1750)]], wife of [[Bowman-7415|Jacob Bowman (abt.1675-1753)]]. He may have been the Jacob Sr. who was a residuary legatee of Samuel’s will. If he had these siblings, he could then not have been the Hans Jakob Baer or Bär, baptized on 18 March 1677 in Hausen, whose siblings don't match. Research is needed.
