- == Biography == Christian was the son of John Hess (1730-between 1778 to 1789) and Susanna Landis (1736 Manhein PA- April 23 1811 Warwick Twp PA). John was the son of Jacob Hess (abt 1706 Germany or Switzerland -1741 Lancaster Co PA) and Veronica 'Frona' or 'Fronica' Bear/ Bar (abt 1707 Ratlisberg, Zurich, Switzerland-1760 Warwick PA). Susanna was the daughter of Henry Landis (1700 Lancaster City PA-1760 Manheim) and Veronica Groff (abt 1710 Lancaster PA-between 1746 to 1754).
